Role and Responsibilities

The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, including proper packaging, documentation, and shipment. This role involves working closely with Customer Service Representatives and other departments to meet order requirements, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Fulfillment Specialist will also perform various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control while supporting overall business operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all documentation is completed and shipments are processed correctly.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and customers to meet specific order requirements and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly stored and available to meet order demands.
  • Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of shipping materials is maintained at all times to support order fulfillment and shipping operations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following prescribed safety and operational regulations.
  • Support the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies used in production or storage, ensuring that all shipping and receiving documentation is accurate.
  • Perform shipping duties, including proper packaging of goods, interpreting visual aids for specific packaging requirements, and utilizing shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to process shipments.
  • Work closely with purchasing, receiving, and operations departments to monitor the status of back-ordered products and ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and support other departments as needed to meet the operational needs of the business.
  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of shipment and inventory records for reporting purposes.

        Qualifications:
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx) and proper packaging methods.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Operations.
  • Ability to work independently and handle tasks with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
